LOLed at your response to Bridgerton as well as Molly’s luv. I enjoyed it but it’s truly a cupcake. As always, much of your reading makes me want to head to the library or bookstore. Glad you’re still reading Hitch (not that I ever thought you’d quit). Looking forward to upcoming releases.
That said there’s also a strange comforting vibe that any British show has. Hence why having Bridgerton on in the background is fine by me. It’s something that would have starred Hugh Grant (whose recent scumbag role turns have been delightful, nonetheless).
Oh yeah LPW is a great time capsule too when he was his most interesting (during his “mutation” phase into supporting neoconservatism on internationalist socialism terms). I can lend it to you anytime. I’m also enjoying forays into A Hitch in Time with all his London Review of Books essays. I’m also taking occasional trips into Vidal, Paglia, and Sullivan which are always fun.
